SPIELRAUM – The Days of the Independent Performing Arts Community in Berlin

"You Are Beautiful" is a preventative theater piece about being fat and thin, eating disorders, false role models, and true friendship, as well as the subsequent workshop.

"You Are Beautiful" is primarily about the particularly dangerous condition of anorexia. The play shows how what begins as a diet can develop into an illness when the body and soul react accordingly. You can expect an emotional two-person play, with plenty of imagery, music, songs, and movement. And with humor, especially when things get serious.

Following the performance, a theater workshop for a maximum of 12 participants aged 11-18 will be offered from approximately 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. There will be short improvisational games and a few vocal and physical exercises. No previous acting experience is necessary.
