Live aus 2050

The year is 2050. Humanity stands at the edge of the abyss. The planet has warmed by 2°C. Sea levels have risen. Hurricanes and superstorms wreak havoc across the globe.

Millions have been displaced, and political tensions are boiling over. In this world beyond the point of no return, governments make one last attempt to negotiate the near-impossible decisions surrounding the environmental catastrophe.

»The Last Conference« is a speculative climate summit staged by the newly founded »Theater des Wissens« (engl. Theater of Knowledge), directed by Krzysztof Minkowski.

Audiences are invited to step into the shoes of international delegates — while outside, so-called »climate terrorists« increase the pressure, displaced people share their stories of survival, scientists reveal the true scale of the crisis, and new grassroots movements emerge, offering a glimmer of hope.

This immersive play is both a political and artistic response to humanity’s global failure to prevent the devastating consequences of climate change.
