as part of SPIELRAUM – Independent Scene Days of the Performing Arts Berlin

First theater, then dancing! A play about a state-organized dance music conference in the GDR: What was actually negotiated in 1959 in Lauchhammer, southern Brandenburg, through song lyrics and beats with a socially conscious message is brought to the stage for the first time in THE LAUCHHAMMER FILES by the theater group LUNATIKS.

The transcripts from that time meet the concise voices of today's musicians in Saxony and Brandenburg. Against the backdrop of the rise of the right, this creates a nevertheless exhilarating production about the political impact of popular music.

Party following the performance: The audience is invited to dance a few more non-ideological rounds to danceable music in the bar and foyer of the TD Berlin and to end the evening in a relaxed atmosphere with the participating artists on turntables.

Party on September 13, 2025, at approximately 9:30 p.m., following the performance of THE LAUCHHAMMER FILES, which begins at 8 p.m.

Admission is free.
