For the 38th time, the traditional wine and wine festival in Berlin-Lichtenrade invites you to enjoy, stroll, and discover around the picturesque village pond. This year, the festival will be especially festive – as the district celebrates its 650th anniversary.
From September 12 to 14, 2025, visitors can expect not only excellent wines from small, family-run wineries, but also a colorful program with numerous surprises: The Lichtenrade Court Society will provide a historic atmosphere, while the 2024/25 German Wine Princess, Katharina Gräff von der Nahe, will add a special touch to the festival.
Fine handicrafts, culinary delights, and a diverse live program make the weekend at the village pond a true highlight. Musicians will mingle with the guests and provide atmospheric moments right by the water.
Just one week after the wine fountain in Lichterfelde, the Lichtenrade Festival once again offers the opportunity to chat with passionate winemakers and learn more about the origins of wines from regions such as the Moselle, Rhine, Nahe, and Austria – authentic, approachable, and with plenty of enjoyment.
The following family wineries – from Rheinhessen, Franconia, the Rheingau, the Palatinate, the Moselle, and the Nahe, as well as from Austria, and the Weingewölbe from Berlin – will present themselves and their wines:
- The Christian Kupper winery from Rheinhessen is now in its fourth generation and will be present with wine, sparkling wine, punch, and a Brennstuhl (burning chair).
- The Zehnthof Eller winery from Rheinhessen will be offering wine, sparkling wine, punch, and liqueur – some of which are vegan and suitable for histamine-intolerant wine lovers. The family produces histamine-tested wines, making them a pioneer in Germany. Even red wine enjoyment is possible with histamine intolerance. Another special feature is that the wine is vegan – without the addition of animal products.
- Weingut Wandl from Austria with wines from the Kamptal – one of the small wine-growing regions in Austria with a special climate.
- Weingut Holdenried travels to Berlin with wine, sparkling wine, spirits, wine jelly, wine vinegar, and grape juice.
- The over 150-year-old Ökonomierat August E. Anheuser winery presents the varieties Grauer Burgunder, Weißburgunder, Kerner, Scheurebe, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc from Kreuznach vineyards, some from the Nahe and Rheinhessen.
- Weingut Thomas Lersch, between Bingen and Bad Kreuznach, is one of the youngest family wineries on the Nahe, has won numerous awards, and consciously works sustainably in harmony with nature.
- The Kummer winery in Franconia produces wine almost exclusively on the Benediktusberg hill in Retzbach.
- "Meine Freiheit" winery in the Rheingau region.
- The Koch family of winemakers from Franconia produces grape juice, sparkling wine, wine cocktails, and spirits.
- Kurt Müller winery in Ellenz-Poltersdorf on the Middle Moselle - the focus is on Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, and Pinot Noir.
