We are celebrating the grand opening of the photography festival ‘Communication and Attitude’ on Friday, 5 July, at Berlin's Holzmarkt. Indoors with music, bar and talks in the ‘Säälchen’, outdoors with the exhibition on facades and building fences.
What does democracy mean today? How can we strive for compromise without fighting each other? How can we ensure that the discourse on how we live together in society is conducted on an equal footing rather than below the belt?
In summer 2025, the Museum Haus des Papiers is dedicating a large-scale photo festival to these questions:
‘Communication and Attitude’ runs from 3 July to 7 September and brings photographic positions on the subject of understanding democracy and respectful communication into the public space - at 16 exhibition venues in Berlin, Chemnitz and Basel: on façades, building fences and in cultural institutions.
