The music project ‘Forget me not’ showcases queer composers and brings them out of obscurity.
The new event series in Berlin Pride Week, ‘Pride In Concert,’ kicks off with the Berlin premiere of ‘Forget me not.’
The project gives queer composers an authentic voice and tells the story of their more or less hidden queer lives in a touching, moderated song recital.
Songs:
From Leonard Bernstein to Henriëtte Bosmans to Fryderyk Chopin, with musicians Daniel Philipp Witte (tenor), Emma Rothmann (mezzo-soprano), Tim Stolte (bass-baritone) and Annalena Hösel (piano).
Moderation (DE and EN):
Nina Süssmilch (moderator, author, editor L-MAG)
Organised by place2be.berlin, the queer tourism and event platform of the city magazine SIEGESSÄULE. Supported by the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf Economic Development Agency, the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises and visitBerlin.
Followed by a get-together in the beautiful rooms of the Orangerie with shellac DJ Lars Schwuchow.
Admission from 7 p.m.
