The Weserhalle is exhibiting new mirror glass works by German artist Jochen Mühlenbrink (born 1980). Drawing on the trompe l'œil tradition, he explores perception, surface and the relationship between image and viewer.

The focus is on the human impulse to leave traces – fleeting gestures such as smiley faces or smudges are preserved in resin and made permanently visible.

The exhibition begins outside with the words “Adham was here” written on fogged-up glass – a reference to graffiti opposite and at the same time a symbol of memory, illusion and reflection.

Mühlenbrink's works invite us to pause – between visibility and disappearance.

WESERHALLE

Weserhalle is a contemporary art gallery based in Neukölln, Berlin. Since its founding, the gallery has placed great importance on providing artists with a platform to connect with the public in an authentic way – through both classic and unconventional exhibition concepts. With a special focus on painting, drawing and sculpture, Weserhalle shows works that deal with the human experience. Weserhalle was founded in December 2017 by Benjamin Hammond, an artist and curator from Ipswich, England.
