Bartolomé Esteban Murillo was one of the most successful painters of the Spanish Baroque period. Large-format works such as "The Baptism of Christ" in the Berlin Gemäldegalerie appealed to the tastes of his mostly Christian patrons with their soft modeling of the figures, gentle lighting, and light colors.
Speakers:
- Dr. Sven Jakstat, Berliner Gemäldegalerie
- Dr. Johannes Krug, Superintendent in Teltow-Zehlendorf
