Musikkabarett

A CLAIRE WALDOFF-evening as a musical biography by and with Sigrid Grajek "To roar funny, to the howling beautiful and to sing along ..." writes the Berlin Siegessäule.

On January 22, 1957, at the age of 72, a woman named Claire Waldoff died in Bad Reichenhall after her second stroke. Actually, she was called Klara Wortmann. She was born on 21.10.1884 in Gelsenkirchen as the daughter of a former miner and Schankwirts and his wife. She had wanted to be a doctor ... But everything else was different.

She discovered her love for the theater, changed her name and landed at the cabaret in Berlin - and there she wrote history!

From 1907 to 1935 she was the star on the boards of the great cabarets and vaudeville, her songs were singer-songwriters and were sung on the street: "Hermann heeht he!", "Who's throwing dawn with clay?" "Get out with the men the Reichstag ", among others
