Under the title Treffpunkt Bauwende (Building Transition Meeting Point), the site of the Federal Building Academy Foundation will be used as a space for experimental projects and public exchange until construction of the building begins – a place where the topics of the building transition in Berlin Mitte can be experienced first-hand.
In summer 2025, the Federal Foundation Bauakademie (BSBA) and Bauhaus Erde will be focusing on the transition to regenerative construction as part of ‘Treffpunkt Bauwende – Regenerative Construction’.
The focus will be on the ReBuilt project – a Bauhaus Erde project that explores and showcases new materials, construction practices and supply chains in collaboration with partners from Germany, South Africa, Indonesia and Bhutan. The ReBuilt programme aims to advance the novel concept of a regeneratively built environment and demonstrate its practical implementation.
A walk-in installation made from reused demolition materials – designed by raumlaborberlin – invites visitors to discuss how to avoid demolition and promote the preservation of existing buildings.
- Opening on 16 June 2025 at 6 p.m. on the grounds of the Federal Building Academy
- Discover innovative construction methods, explore the exhibition and learn more about regenerative materials in an international context.
