an interactive exhibition by Julie Stephen Chheng

To mark the 75th anniversary of the Maison de France, artist Julie Stephen Chheng invites visitors to a graphic and playful experience centered around nature and imagination from April to June 2025 – a large-scale project that will occupy almost every room of the house.

With works such as Uramado, Fortune Teller, and Paysages en construction, she opens up new perspectives on the Maison de France, interweaving illustration, paper art, augmented reality, and projection into an immersive journey of discovery.

Visitors encounter nature spirits, engage in dialogue with them, and reflect on the relationship between humans and the environment. Chheng's artistic narrative moves between digital technology and analogue material, between reality and imagination. For over ten years, she has worked closely with artists such as Thomas Pons, Studio Volumique, and the musician Apollo Noir.
