Benefit concert
On July 27, 2024, the 39-year-old pianist Pavel Kushnir died in Birobidzhan on the Amur River in the Far East - in custody for public statements in support of human rights and against the war in Ukraine. This benefit concert is being organized for the memorial scholarship named after him for talented music students from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.
This concert is part of a series of benefit events taking place in Paris, London, Amsterdam, Tel Aviv and Berlin in May. The proceeds from ticket sales for the Berlin concert will be used specifically to fund scholarships at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin.
The renowned pianists Katerina Titova and Nikolai Medvedev will perform on this evening.
