using the example of the remand prison in Keibelstraße
Anti-fascism was state doctrine in the GDR, fascism was considered to have been overcome. But by the end of the 1980s at the latest, the existence of neo-Nazi subcultures could no longer be denied. How did the GDR state and party leadership deal with the now increasingly open neo-Nazis? And what role did Keibelstraße play in their persecution?
The guided tour of the former remand prison in Berlin's Keibelstraße is dedicated to the history of the site and the conditions of detention there, as well as the topic of neo-Nazis in the GDR in general and in Keibelstraße in particular.
