Shingo Masuda is a kanun (oriental zither) player and composer from Japan. He was born in Osaka and grew up in Nara. When he was little he played the piano and learned classical music. In 2009 he flew to Cairo, Egypt and learned to play the kanun there. In addition, during his musical work in Japan, he learned the technique of kanun and mode music as well as Arabic and Turkish music in Tunisia, Turkey and Greece. In 2017 he moved to Berlin.
