Sound installation by Justin Time and Sabine Ercklentz

The installation in the ZAK project space is the second part of the project "Stroke the Monument – Listen to the Monument" by Justin Time and Sabine Ercklentz, which explores monuments in public spaces and employs unconventional approaches.

During three participatory city walks in the summer of 2025, bronze and stone sculptures in the public spaces of various Spandau districts were touched and "felt." Audio recordings of these encounters are incorporated into the exhibition as a sound-based, walk-in sculpture. A multisensory experiential space, an "anti-bronze," is created.

Sabine Ercklentz is a German trumpeter and composer whose work often explores musical boundaries and transcends established genres. She is part of the electroacoustic duo ercklentz**neumann and the Splitter Orchestra.

Justin Time is a multimedia artist, filmmaker, and curator. After completing his stonemasonry apprenticeship, he spent three years traveling across Europe as a journeyman. He studied Fine Arts and Sculpture at the Berlin Weißensee School of Art and Urban Studies at the San Francisco Art Institute.
