Striped or checked, brightly colored or two-tone: In this workshop, you'll choose threads in your favorite colors or be inspired by the textiles of the Museum of Islamic Art. With the help of a weaving card, you'll easily weave your own ribbons.

The card functions like a miniature loom – the threads are simply raised and lowered. Many of the fabrics in the collection were also made on large looms using a similar technique. The weavers even artfully incorporated animals and other figures into the weave.
Participation fee including admission: €15 per family (2 people), €20 per family (3 or more people)
Limited number of participants. Online booking required.
Remaining tickets are available at the ticket office in the James Simon Gallery. The family ticket entitles you to visit the museums on the Museum Island on the same day. You can obtain admission tickets to the museums at the museum ticket office upon presentation of your participation ticket for the family workshop.
