The show brings together works by nine artists with whom the Neurotitan Shop has been working closely for years. Some have been with the gallery since its beginnings, others have joined in recent years – always connected by a continuous artistic development and a shared attitude beyond commercial constraints.
With B-Side, Neurotitan offers these players in Berlin's independent art scene a platform to present themselves outside the usual context of the shop. The exhibited works deliberately differ from the regular range of goods: they break with familiar formats, use unconventional materials or show sides of an interdisciplinary creative process that has so far remained hidden.
On view are experimental prints, drawings, paintings, ceramics, and large-scale installations. The exhibition is intended as a snapshot of a network of artists that consistently eludes the logic of exploitation while also conveying an authentic, multi-layered image of the Berlin art scene.
