Berlin loves food festivals! For really all tastes, various food events take place throughout the year. We have summarized the most popular events for you here. We wish you bon appétit!

Tip 1: Italian Street Food Festival

Arrosticini, caponata, octopus burgers, bruschetta, panzerotti, Neapolitan pizza, focaccia with salsiccia, shrimp skewers, Sicilian cannoli: you can taste all this and much more at the Italian Street Food Festival 2022! For dessert lovers, there will be tiramisu, ice cream, pistachio canelloni and real Italian espresso, among others. Enjoy la dolce vita in a beautiful open air location of the largest Italian Street Food Festival in Germany.

Tip 3: Berlin Beer Week

Of course, food always goes hand in hand with a good drink. That's what you'll get at this year's Berlin Beer Week. With over 90 different types of craft beer from different strongholds of artisan brewing, you can dance to live music and have fun. Meet the organizers and brewers from at least 45 breweries, and taste their beers with them in person!

Tip 4: Grüne Woche

We have to admit that the Internationale Grüne Woche is not a festival, but there's still a lot of culinary stuff to discover at the fair. Talk to farmers, discover how food is produced and taste one or the other product. Let yourself be surprised which will be the partner country for the coming year.

Tip 5: Eat! Berlin

Numerous culinary events take place during Eat! Berlin take place in the capital. In an exclusive autumn edition, the 2022 gourmet festival shows the creative potential of Berlin's gastronomy. The organizers will also be offering everything else you could possibly want, from cheese to truffles to paella.

Tip 6: Weinsommer Spandau Altstadt

Spandau Altstadt transforms into a dream location for wine lovers in September. On the large market square, the WeinSommer holds a colorful program around vines and winemakers ready for you. Of course, there will also be a nice stage program to go with it.

Germans love their beer and that's exactly why the International Berlin Beer Festival takes place in Berlin every year. Hundreds of breweries are waiting to be discovered by you. So look forward to beer in all possible variations from 86 countries.

Tip 8: Köpenicker Whisky Fest

This year's event marks the 10th anniversary of the Köpenick Old Town Whisky Fest. Just for you, a variety of regional, national and international exhibitors will present themselves and pour for you. For the entrance you will receive a tasting glass, with which you can move from exhibitor to exhibitor and test individual whisky.

By the name, you might already be able to guess what you'll be tasting at Cheese Berlin: Under the motto "Everything you can make from milk," you can taste high-quality cheeses from more than 30 selected producers, affineurs and traders. Cheesemakers from Italy, Austria, Switzerland, France, the Netherlands and the British Isles await you. Look forward to special cheese specialties.

Tip 11: Wild Herb Garden Tours

In keeping with the long day of urban nature, Café Botanico will show you something a little different in Berlin's culinary extravaganza. After being guided through the wild herbs you have planted yourself, you can marvel at the honey bees in the permaculture garden. Because you should not only look at the garden paradise, you can sip a sparkling herbal lemonade afterwards or taste the herbs in between.
