Autumn without kite flying? There's no such thing. Now that the leaves are slowly falling from the trees and the days are getting shorter and shorter, you should make the most of the last rays of sunshine and the weather outside. What could be better than flying a kite? In addition to Tempelhofer Feld, where you are guaranteed to always have wind and see kite surfers, the Drachenberg right next to Teufelsberg is a popular place to fly your kites effortlessly. The kite festival will also take place again on 27 September 2025 at Tempelhofer Feld. You can find more tips in our blog post:

Or you can climb up to a viewpoint in the city and enjoy the view over Berlin in the autumn evening atmosphere. In addition to the most famous, the Berlin TV Tower with a total height of 368 metres, you can of course also visit the glass dome of the Reichstag building (you have to register in advance) or the roof terrace of the Humboldt Forum with its unique view of Museum Island and Berlin Cathedral. Exciting exhibitions and creative workshops for children and adults also await you at the Humboldt Forum. The Victory Column is a little strenuous with 285 steps, but the view over the Tiergarten is definitely worth it. You can find many other viewpoints that offer incredible views over Berlin here:

Hands-on activities are expressly encouraged in Berlin's children's museums. The choice is huge: at the MACHmit! museum for children and the Labyrinth children's museum, children learn about the world through play, the ANOHA museum invites you to reflect on the respectful coexistence of humans, animals and nature, at the Futurium you can discover the world of tomorrow for free and at the Düppel museum village you can find out more about people's lives in the 13th century and immerse yourself in the world of wizards, witches, knights and fire-breathers. In autumn, there are guided tours about the Middle Ages and fairy tales with live speakers. In the Illuseum, on the other hand, you will be deceived by your senses. The particularly impressive dinosaurs in the Museum of Natural History are not for touching, but all the more for marvelling at. The largest dinosaur skeleton in the world - the Brachiosaurus brancat - awaits you right in the main hall. Last but not least, you can get hands-on at family workshops organised by the National Museums in Berlin.
