For all those who have not yet heard of the monchichi-like creatures with rabbit ears and pointed teeth: The monsters were created by Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung and have become a global collecting phenomenon since 2024 - fuelled by TikTok unboxings and celebrity sightings. The kiosk has not only been recreated in the new premises, the interior also quotes the original with a kidney-shaped counter, plus Cassina chairs, colourful walls and a cosmopolitan concept. The big move is then planned for autumn 2025. A total of three homes, each measuring around 120 m², are being built on the 3,800 m² site - all equipped with furniture, toys and blankets in line with animal welfare standards.

The "retirement home for animals" was founded in Blankenburg in 2006 and now permanently cares for around 300 animals - senior citizens, sick people and those who can no longer find a home. The animals live here in a family atmosphere, there are no kennels and unrestricted exercise.
