Berlin’s flea markets can be more than just places to snap up bargains: they’re stages for extravagance, hotspots for night owls, trendy meeting places and veritable treasure troves. Whether you’re rummaging through vintage clothes to the sound of DJs in Kreuzberg clubs, enjoying the sunset on car park decks, or haggling over opera costumes steeped in history – these twelve flea markets showcase Berlin’s second-hand scene from its most extraordinary side.
Tip 1: At SO36, night turns into a shopping spree
Named after Berlin’s former postal district and located in the heart of Kreuzberg, SO36 is a magnet for music fans, culture vultures and bargain hunters. As well as concerts, readings and the ever-popular roller disco, a night-time flea market takes place here once a month.
This special shopping spot is a top tip for all flea market fans who’d rather sleep in at the weekend than jostle for the best finds in the early hours of the morning. At SO36, things don’t get going until 8 pm. And with a DJ, colourful club lighting and a table football station , the atmosphere is a prime example of Kreuzberg’s laid-back vibe.
When: Once a month, following announcement by the organisers
Where: SO 36, Oranienstraße 190, Kreuzberg
Tip 2: Shop at the rooftop flea market until the sun goes down

On the 5,000-square-metre car park deck, you can browse 200 market stalls to your heart’s content whilst the sun slowlysets over the city’s rooftops.
Whether it’s pre-loved fashion, vinyl records, furniture, designer pieces, art, books or the odd curiosity – here you can enjoy a special shopping experience in north Berlin, accompanied by delicious street food. Good for your wallet and the planet!
