To coincide with St Martin's Day on 11 November, numerous Berlin restaurants serve delicious roast goose from mid-November and in the run-up to Christmas. You can enjoy your roast goose in a cosy restaurant atmosphere . We took a look around the city's restaurants and put together 11 tips for you.

It's best to book your table in advance; some restaurants also ask you to order the roast goose in advance.
Tip 1: Die Scheune
The perfect destination after a long walk through the Grunewald forest is the cosy restaurant Die Scheune. Regional cuisine from Berlin and Brandenburg is on the menu here. And the goose is one of the absolute highlights of Die Scheune: there is a quarter portion of goose per person or a whole goose for four people. You can also order your roast online and then collect it or have it delivered by the in-house goose delivery service. If you don't want to wait until St Martin's Day, the Scheune already has roast goose on the menu.

Tip 2: Ebert
Restaurant Ebert is known throughout Berlin for its delicious roast goose and duck with tasty gravy, dumplings and homemade red cabbage with apples. Incidentally, the restaurant is located near Kurfürstendamm, so it's the perfect place for a tasty refreshment after a Christmas shopping spree. The roast goose season starts at Ebert on 7 November.

Tip 3: Landhaus Hubertus
As every year, Landhaus Hubertus also offers the most popular dish of autumn and the Christmas season: delicious roast goose. From now on you can enjoy classically prepared goose and game dishes and choose between breast or leg or a whole roast, carved at the table by the chef. Please book your table in advance.

Tip 4: Oderquelle
At the rustic Oderquelle, St Martin's Day also marks the start of the season for juicy roast goose with crispy skin. The down-to-earth restaurant has been around since 1990 and has been serving delicious traditional dishes ever since. As it is quite small, you should definitely book your table in advance.

Tip 5: Zur letzten Instanz
The classic in Mitte: Zur letzten Instanz is the oldest restaurant in the whole of Berlin. The rustic parlours in Mitte serve regional products and combine traditional Berlin cuisine with sustainability. From 11 November, St Martin's goose dinner will also be on the menu.

Tip 6: Alter Krug Dahlem
Why not combine a leisurely stroll through the Botanical Gardens in Dahlem with a stop at the Alter Krug Dahlem? The rustic restaurant specialises in hearty home cooking and starts the goose season on 11 November. The seasonal menu includes a whole deliciously crispy goose for four people.

Tip 7: Weinlobbyist
St Martin's Day at the Weinlobbyist is all about the traditional St Martin's goose - reinterpreted by chef Thilo Roth. The 5-course menu is accompanied by perfectly matched wines from sommelier Serhat Aktas. A feast for connoisseurs and a special evening full of flavour and conviviality!

Tip 8: Restaurant Miteinander
Leg, breast or even both? At Restaurant Miteinander you can choose your favourite cut of roast. And for dessert, try the delicious Spekulatius-Kaiserschmarrn and enjoy a festive evening in the popular Friedenau neighbourhood. From 10 November, all the dishes on the Christmas menu will be ready for you to enjoy.

Tip 9: Restaurant Schust
Eat like at home: traditional dishes from the region Erzgebirge are on the menu at Restaurant Schust. In addition to bratwurst and roulades, the team at Schust also serves crispy, delicious roast goose when it gets cold and dark outside. And you'll feel right at home ...

Tip 10: Jäger & Lustig
Goose or no goose: On 11 November, roast goose will also be on the tables at the rustic Jäger & Lustig. Here too, four of you can share a whole goose. Or you can choose the goose platter for one person or the menu with soup and Christmas pudding for dessert. Traditionally, all the specials are accompanied by red cabbage, kale, chestnuts, dumplings and gravy - it's sure to be delicious.

Tip 11: Jelänger Jelieber
Oven-fresh goose from the oven: the goose at the Jelänger Jelieber restaurant is crispy and delicious. You can order a leg, half a goose or a whole goose, accompanied by red cabbage with apples, kale and Thuringian-style dumplings. You can also order the goose to take away in advance.
