A real classic! This Berlin original combines the flair of a dreamy jazz bar with the cosiness of a traditional café. Since September 1978, you can get breakfast at night and cocktails for lunch at the Black Café. By the way, the name lives up to its promise. The walls are whitewashed black, the crowd is mixed. The perfect setting for an unforgettable Berlin moment.

When: Monday and Wednesday to Friday 8 a.m. - 3 p.m., Tuesday 10 a.m. - 3 a.m., Friday and Saturday around the clock, Sunday until 3 a.m.

Located in the heart of vibrant Kreuzberg, Schlawinchen has been a popular meeting place for Berliners and visitors alike. And that for more than three decades. Furnished like a quaint pub, the bar in Kreuzberg is a unique place where you can experience a piece of "real" Berlin around the clock. The Schlawinchen even made a small appearance in Sven Regener's Westalgia novel "Herr Lehmann". Even if it's not a very positive one. Nevertheless, there is a huge selection of affordable drinks for a night out, from cold beer to cocktails. At Schlawinchen, you can escape the general hustle and bustle of the city for 24 hours and just dive in for a while.

In some of Berlin's jazz bars, such as the Yorckschlösschen or "The Hat", you can hear different live gigs every day. Take a look at our nightlife pages.
