Berlin loves food festivals!  From pasta and cheese to ramen and vegan delights, the city serves up food events to suit every taste throughout the year. We’ve rounded up our top recommendations for culinary highlights this autumn. Bon appétit!

Tip 1: Celebrate the pumpkin festival in Berlin

Autumn means pumpkin season! Head to the Pumpkin Festival on Akazienstraße and Belzigstraße, where pumpkins of every kind are turned into soups, quiches, cakes, casseroles, and other tasty dishes to enjoy right there on the spot. Of course, you can also pick up a whole pumpkin to take home — perfect for your favorite recipes or a festive Halloween decoration.

Tip 2: Try something new at Berlin Food Week

Once again this year, Berlin’s food and gastronomy scene will be at its best. At Germany’s most diverse food festival, you can celebrate flavour while exploring quality and origin. Enjoy showcase menus and be inspired by exciting innovations and ideas from the food start-up scene. In addition, this year’s partner country Austria will present its culinary diversity. Try something new and discover Berlin’s most delicious sides.

Tip 3: Find out more about Sake. Rockstars. Samurai.

Sake is more than a drink – it’s a way of life. Sake Week 2025 celebrates Japanese rice wine as a moment of mindfulness and enjoyment. Across Berlin, numerous bars and restaurants will be offering exquisite menus paired with sake tastings. Visitors can also look forward to a rich program of talks and workshops – plus tastings of unique sake labels born from collaborations between breweries and rock stars. Fittingly, this year’s theme is “Sake. Rockstars. Samurai.”

One of Berlin’s highlights is a special exhibition at the Samurai Museum, showcasing premium sake brands and rare editions created together with the Foo Fighters, Pharrell Williams, Cate Blanchett, Robert De Niro, Iron Maiden, and more.

Tip 4: Eat your fill at the True Italian Pizza Week

Pizza, pizza, pizza: around 30 excellent pizzerias will be serving up special offers for True Italian Pizza Week. You can choose between two delicious pizzas and an Aperol or Crodino Spritz for just €16. For example, there are pizzas with pumpkin cream, nduja, caramelised onions and burrata; sweet potato cream, spicy salsiccia, provola, black pork pancetta; artichoke cream and caciocavallo cheese. Enjoy the new flavours!

Tip 5: Celebrate the art of cheese at Cheese Berlin

With a name like Cheese Berlin, you already know what to expect. Under the motto “Everything you can make from milk”, more than 30 handpicked suppliers will present their finest cheeses at Markthalle Neun. Taste exceptional varieties from across Europe, join tastings and workshops on making your own cheese, meet the makers in person, and dive into expert discussions all about cheese.

Tip 6: Feast at the True Italian Pasta Week

Whether it's spaghetti, tagliatelle, orecchiette, ravioli or gnocchi: you can enjoy pasta in all its variations at True Italian Pasta Week. The participating restaurants offer you two specially created pasta dishes that are otherwise not on the menu. They will be accompanied by either a delicious Aperol Spritz or a glass of wine and a Limoncello Crema - and all for just 18 euros.

Tip 7: Look forward to Christmas at the Stollen Test organised by the Bakers' Guild

So Christmas can come: At the Stollen Test organised by the Bakers' Guild, the stollen not only compete in a public test, but also for consumption. You can taste your way through the tastiest stollen in town and then choose your own personal favourite. The jury will judge the stollen according to criteria such as shape, appearance, surface, crust, smell and, of course, flavour.

Tip 8: Celebrate tea enjoyment at the Berlin Tea Week & Festival 2025

“Deep Roots, New Growth” is the theme of the very first Berlin Tea Festival, held at the silent green Kulturquartier in Wedding. Tea producers, traders, and enthusiasts from around the world will gather to taste and rediscover the finest teas. Guests will receive an exclusive porcelain bowl and can enjoy tea tastings, inspiring lectures, and traditional Japanese tea ceremonies. Beyond the main venue, numerous tea houses, restaurants, and studios across the city will host special events as part of the festival.

Tip 9: Find your favourite wine at Raw Wine Berlin

Raw Wine Berlin is a celebration of the world’s best natural wines. More than 100 winemakers from across the globe will gather at Markthalle Neun to present their creations. Meet the makers, learn about the origins and production of their wines, and of course, taste them – you might just discover your new favorite.

Tip 10: The Berlin Chilli Fest brings a little spice to the pre-Christmas season

The Christmas edition of the Berlin Chilli Fest is not for the faint-hearted. Over two fiery festival days at the new KalleHalle in Neukölln, you can sample chilli and hot sauces, enjoy live music and a DJ, and watch (or join!) the chilli and spicy wings eating competitions. A well-stocked bar will be on hand to cool things down, while kids can get creative in a colouring contest.

It’s the perfect event for anyone who prefers hot and spicy over sugarcookies and gingerbread – and who knows, you might even find the perfect extra-spicy hot sauce as a unique Christmas gift.

From 10 to 19 October 2025, Washingtonplatz at Berlin Central Station will be transformed into a paradise for gourmets. Under the motto "From BBQ to Insects", ten days full of street food, delicacies, sweet treats and hot drinks await you. Alongside the culinary highlights, DJs will set the mood each day.

From juicy burgers and exotic specialties to surprising insect creations, you can explore new worlds of flavor and eat your way through a vibrant food universe. Admission is just two euros – redeemable as a drinks voucher.
