In April, the search for exceptional restaurants and beautiful cafes took us, among other places, to Kreuzberg, where the Rote Harfe serves fresh local cuisine for a variety of tastes - inspired by the unique and diverse community that surrounds the restaurant. In the evening, we highly recommend a visit to the lounge upstairs where you can stay for a delicious drink. //
Café am Engelbecken
Fancy a break on the water? Then let's go to the northern part of Kreuzberg. Directly on Engelbecken, a historic remnant of the old Berlin waterways, there is a charming café which can provide exactly the outdoor charm that you sometimes crave in the big city: a small oasis in Berlin with cake, coffee, and breakfast.
Café Nadia + Kosta
We love this sweet little cafe in Berlin, even if it is a little off the beaten paths. Nadia + Kosta is in the area of Kaskelkiez, which is a blind spot on the eastern map of Berlin even for life-long Berliners. What does it have? Fresh cakes, savoury snacks, and a variety of very tasty hot chocolates.
Café am neuen See
In Berlin, there are many great beer gardens and cafes to sit outside in. The real summer classics include the Café am neuen See with its wide culinary range and wonderful beer garden. Located in the Tiergarten, it is the perfect place to sit down, relax, and enjoy. After all, what could be better than tasty reinforcements with friends or family after a long walk through Berlin's Central Park?
The Gestalten inside the Bikini Berlin is an eatery and concept shop in one. That means, in addition to coffee, cocktails, and a daily changing lunch menu, it also has all sorts of things in the areas of design, architecture, art, and lifestyle to discover.
