Follow the scent of freshly baked cinnamon buns!  Here are 11 cafés and bakeries that serve the delicious rolls fluffy and fresh directly from the oven. Of course, the classic Swedish pastry is now also available vegan and in all kinds of flavours. A little insider tip for those who love the original is the Svenst Café of the Swedish church at Landhausstraße 26 in Wilmersdorf. Our 11 tips for cinnamon buns - simply to bite into!

Tip 1: Enjoy freshly baked cinnamon buns at "Zeit für Brot"

Alongside fresh organic bread and rolls, the cinnamon bun is a real classic at Zeit für Brot. The yeast dough is refined with a little buttermilk and bourbon vanilla. The result is large, juicy rolls in organic quality and formed by hand. With six variations, it's hard to choose. We tried the walnut-maple bun and the chocolate roll with a filling of dark chocolate melted in the oven. If you like it fruitier, we recommend the apple and cinnamon roll or the white chocolate and raspberry roll. The vegan version comes with a cinnamon filling that is refined with apples and almonds. Quite classic cinnamon buns are also available, of course!

When: Monday to Friday 7am - 8pm, Saturday & Sunday 8am - 6pm (some branches also open until 8pm).
Where: Eberswalder Straße 26, Prenzlauer Berg; Konstanzer Straße 1, Wilmersdorf; Savignyplatz 9, Charlottenburg; Weinbergsweg 2, Mitte

Cinnamon buns make happy, especially when they come in such a colourful variety. Cinnamood's mission is to revolutionise the classic cinnamon bun. In addition to fruity rolls with apple-cinnamon, blueberry or raspberry filling, there are also the "Next Level Rolls" that not only compete with the classic chocolate bars but also turn your grandmother's traditional cake recipes upside down. Try Salted Caramel or a Granny Roll with Black Forest cherry filling. Vegan options are also available - and the classic cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting are, well, a classic!

When: Monday to Saturday 9.30am - 8.30pm, Sunday 10am - 8pm.
Where: Oranienburger Straße 8, Mitte

Gluten-free, vegan and completely without additives: That's what distinguishes all the baked goods at Oshione. To achieve perfection, the kitchen experiments with new ways and various ingredients when kneading and baking. Bread and rolls come out crispy with different grain and herb variations, and the basis of the cinnamon buns is a home-made sourdough. By the way, it all started with the sale of banana bread at the weekly market on Kollwitzplatz, and it still tastes just as delicious today. The secret is a dash of apple cider vinegar in the dough.

When: Thursday & Friday 8 a.m. - 6 p.m., Saturday, Sunday & Monday 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Where: Katzbachstraße 25, Kreuzberg

Beumer and Lutum have been supplying Berlin with fresh bread and delicious cinnamon buns for over 25 years. The two met in the 1990s at the Mehlwurm collective in Neukölln, and today sustainability, organic and social responsibility are still important building blocks of the traditional Berlin bakery. From organic toast to the Neanderthal bread loaf, which does not need any flour at all, there is just about everything that can be kneaded from flour. In addition to their own six branches, Beumer and Lutum also supply some organic shops in the city, of course with a fleet of e-delivery vans charged by the company's own solar system.

When: the shops usually open daily at 7 a.m., on Sunday sometimes at 8 a.m. and are open until 6 p.m. on weekdays, somewhat shorter on weekends.
Where: Körtestraße 36 and Zossener Straße 34, Fromet-und-Moses-Mendelssohn-Platz 9, Kreuzberg; Cuvrystraße 22, Treptow; Hufelanstraße 9 and Winsstraße 34, Prenzlauer Berg
