A real Berlin weekend includes not only a hearty brunch but also a visit to the traditional flea market. Strolling through the alleys in a rummaging mood, discovering real treasures at the stalls in the flea markets or hunting for bargains to your heart's content – what more could you need for a perfect weekend?

Tip 1: Der Bunte – Marheinekeplatz flea market

The historic town square is a particularly beautiful feature of the flea market in the Bergmannkiez neighbourhood. It offers enough space to stroll through the rows at your leisure. The market mainly offers second-hand clothing, toys and handmade items. But you will also find books, CDs and records, as well as art and antiques among the stalls. After browsing, you can grab a bite to eat on Saturdays at the nearby Marheineke Markthalle.

Tip 2: The Urberliner – Arkonaplatz flea market

A hundred years ago, market women stood under the old lime trees on Arkonaplatz. Today, it is mainly families from the neighbourhood who flock here, combining a visit to the flea market with the great playground next door. The flea market mainly offers fashion, second-hand clothing, books and recordings. At the northern end, you'll find dealers selling larger pieces of furniture and lamps. Lined with trees, you can stroll through the market avenue in a particularly green atmosphere.

Tip 3: The historic flea market at Schöneberg Town Hall

Where John F. Kennedy once stood and declared himself a Berliner, crowds of people now gather every weekend among the rows of tents set up by hobby flea market vendors. Mingle with the colourful crowd of like-minded people in search of bargains in the form of clothing, books, electrical goods and other knick-knacks.

Tip 4: The cosy one – flea market at Kranoldplatz

The idyllic art and second-hand market at Kranoldplatz has a lot to offer. At this flea market, you'll find vintage treasures, art, fashion, books and handmade jewellery at the stalls. There's also street food and musical accompaniment. From 16 March to 9 November 2025, the flea market takes place every second Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tip 5: The Intellectual – Antique and Book Market at the Bode Museum

Every weekend, numerous book and antique dealers line up their stalls along the Spree. Their tables are filled with a wide range of books, art and small furniture. Among them are inexpensive modern antiques and genuine rarities. Once you've found the original edition of your favourite author, it will be difficult to move on from here.

Tip 6: Der Schmucke – Art and flea market Fehrbelliner Platz

What makes the Fehrbi flea market special, apart from the usual assortment of clothing, bags, household goods, books, records and CDs, is the art mile. The area marked by a red carpet opposite the Parkcafé is reserved for artists who exhibit their paintings, drawings, ceramics, jewellery and furniture here. A must-do for all art lovers among Berlin's flea markets.

Tip 7: Der Kiezige – flea market at Boxhagener Platz

The flea market around the "Boxi" is one of our favourites. Here you can find everything you can imagine at a flea market, from surprise figurines to antiques. Its location in the middle of the Simon-Dach neighbourhood with all its cafés is also perfect for your Sunday outing.

Tip 8: The traditional one – flea market on Straße des 17. Juni

The flea market on Straße des 17. Juni is a true Berlin original. Founded in 1978, it is probably the oldest flea market in the city. It's worth rummaging around here: among the assortment of bric-a-brac, you'll also find genuine collectibles of rare value. Old farmhouse cupboards and fine porcelain from bygone eras are waiting for someone to haggle over them. Attached to the market is a craft market with hand-knitted items, wooden toys, ceramics and much more.

Tip 9: Der Edle – Antique market at Ostbahnhof

On Sundays, the street on the north side of Ostbahnhof is a central meeting place for antique dealers and collectors. The wide range of items offered by professional sellers ranges from small items such as stamps, coins and postcards to antique books and records to porcelain and large pieces of furniture.

Tip 10: The trendy one – Nowkölln Flowmarkt

After the winter break, the Nowkölln Flowmarkt will be open again from 23 March 2025. Every second Sunday, the Maybachufer belongs to Berlin designers who offer printed shirts, handmade jewellery and accessories to browse and haggle over. Culinary delights and artistic performances are also not to be missed here. The Nowkölln Flowmarkt on Maybachufer is a real highlight for lovers of vintage, second-hand and art! The stalls with unusual fashion, vinyl records and creative one-offs are particularly popular. It's worth arriving early to grab the best bargains – but you can often still find good deals later in the afternoon.

Tip 11: The Legendary – Flea market in Mauerpark

Between picnics, music and good vibes, you can stroll through the large flea market in Mauerpark on Sundays. Mauerpark is one of the most popular parks in Berlin and is known for its sunny Sundays, when lots of people gather to simply have a good time together. In addition to fashion, jewellery, records and gadgets, there are numerous stalls selling snacks and drinks. Stroll through the flea market at Mauerpark and enjoy a coffee, a Club Mate or an ice cream.

For those who still haven't had enough, here's an extra tip from us: in late summer, Suarezstraße in Charlottenburg hosts the Antikmeile, a unique street festival. It's particularly worth a visit for lovers of antiques and unusual items – even during the rest of the year. Over 25 shops selling art, antiques, jewellery and curiosities line a few metres between Kaiserdamm and Kantstraße. Since the 1970s, this street has offered a unique variety of antique goods. Each shop has its own focus and is a journey of discovery through different styles and eras.
