Berlin becomes a stage for your voice: at sing-along concerts, you’re not just the audience, but part of the sound. Whether you’re belting out Queen anthems at Choir! Choir! Choir!, celebrating with pop songs in a huge choir at Sing dela Sing, or letting loose with your favourite film and musical hits at Magical Sing Along – it’s not about hitting the perfect note, but about the shared experience. Families, Swifties, boy band fans and those nostalgic for the 1980s will all find a sing-along highlight to suit them. So warm up your voices and discover our 11 tips for sing-along concerts in Berlin.
Tip 1: Celebrate Choir! Choir! Choir! at Heimathafen Neukölln
In the cult Canadian show Choir! Choir! Choir!, the audience becomes the choir. Daveed Goldman and Nobu Adilman bring the greatest Queen anthems to Neukölln with “We Will CHOIR! You” – and you’re right in the thick of it. No stuffy concert atmosphere, just a collective let-your-hair-down session of singing, dancing and harmonising.
For anyone who wants to experience Freddie Mercury energy as part of a collective. An evening that feels less like a concert and more like a shared rock opera.
When: 24 May, 7 pm
Where: Heimathafen Neukölln, Karl-Marx-Straße 141, Neukölln
Tip 2: Find your pop voice at Sing dela Sing
Sing dela Sing is the modern answer to karaoke – only much bigger, more relaxed and with live accompaniment. Hundreds of people sing pop songs together, from ABBA to Avicii, whilst the lyrics are displayed via video projection. Nobody has to sing perfectly, because it’s precisely the shared sense of letting go that makes the evening so liberating. For anyone looking to recharge their batteries after work. In the end, it’s not the perfect note that counts here, but the shared sense of happiness.
