The 21st Century Picasso

Gerhard Richter, one of the most important contemporary painters of our time, is celebrating his 80th birthday on 8th February. In honour of this pioneering artist, the Neue Nationalgalerie is presenting a large-scale Retrospective of his works from 12th February to 13th May 2012. This will be supplemented by a presentation of his 18th “October 1977” cycle in the Alte Nationalgalerie (Old National Gallery) and the exhibition of his editions in me Collectors Room Berlin.
