Tickets for Sports Events

Thanks to its magnificent stadia and competition arenas, Berlin is and remains an attractive location for top-class sporting events. The Olympic stadium, a listed site in the western part of the city, is not only the home of Hertha BSC, freshly promoted to the top flight in professional football, but also the annual venue of the International Athletics Meet (ISTAF). While over in the eastern part of the city, the o2 World arena is home to both the Alba Berlin basketball and Berlin Eisbären (Polar Bears) ice-hockey team.

Kino International – © Yorck Kinogruppe

Five minutes’ walking distance from Alexanderplatz. Huge hand-painted film posters hang on the sandstone façade of the postmodern building from the 60’s. Though its architecture is striking from the outside, the building’s most impressive features are found inside. With its magnificent chandeliers, retro eastern European style, red armchairs and huge glass front, the cinema’s foyer is a highlight in itself. Be it premieres or gay parties, this cinema hosts all sorts of events where glamorous VIPs mix with students, film lovers and party people.
