Tip 1: Original fashion at LENA’S LOVELY VINTAGE

Drop into Lena’s boutique and lose yourself in a world of exclusive vintage women’s wear from the 1950s to the 1990s. This beautiful store specialises in top-quality hand-picked items. Here you’ll find 1950s evening gowns alongside 90s US sportswear as well as leather jackets. It’s an exciting eclectic mix of high-end designer labels and retail pieces. You can also expect a great collection of vintage bags, shoes and accessories to help complete your look. All these fashion pieces are unique, with their own story to tell, which Lena will gladly do in person, as she advises you over a cup of coffee. A Berlin-born fashion designer, who spent many years working in international fashion, Lena is passionate about her pieces. For us, the highlight had to be the magnificent collection of 1950s evening gowns: elegant, inspiring and straight from the silver screen. The shop is centrally located in the up-and-coming Potsdamer Straße in the lively Berlin-Tiergarten district.

Tip 2: Exclusive shopping at No.8

No.8 in Berlin-Wilmersdorf is known as the most exclusive second-hand and vintage boutique in Berlin. Here you’ll only find the big names in fashion. In his beautifully decorated shop window, owner Peter Herbst-Leimbach displays just a taste of what’s inside: red silk pumps by Louis Vuitton, a gold slipper by Jil Sander and a silk dress by Missoni. His exclusive and large collection includes such names as Prada, Armani, Karl Lagerfeld, Dolce & Gabbana, Escada, Roberto Cavalli, Miu Miu and others. Luxury brands such as Manolo Blahnik or Christian Louboutin also catch the eye. In addition to elegant shoes and designer fashion, No. 8 offers evening gowns and accessories such as exclusive Chanel and Hermès handbags. 

Needless to say, everything is in almost perfect condition. Peter has been involved in the high-end fashion industry for 35 years, working as a model and designer and was employed by Karl Lagerfeld - making him perfectly qualified to offer expert advice. Of course, these big names come with big prices, even second-hand. If you’re shopping at No.8, plan your budget accordingly and enjoy the glam.

Tip 3: Contemporary brands at SALT BERLIN

At SALT BERLIN you’ll find high-quality second-hand wear in the areas of fast fashion, contemporary and designer brands. SALT sells specially hand-picked second-hand women’s wear, shoes and accessories from top brands such as All Saints, COS, Closed, Hugo Boss, Dry Corn, Topshop, Tommy Hilfiger, Other Stories and Zara. From 2013 to 2021 SALT, was known as Sometimes Coloured selling popular second-hand designer brands in Berlin.

In 2021, it changed its name and moved to its new location at the in-vogue Boxhagener Platz in Friedrichshain. In the relaxed, trendy and spacious shop, you can browse over 600 clothing items, covering a wide range of everything from trainers to chic leather handbags.

Tip 4: Elegance and character at GARMENTS VINTAGE

In this beautiful and tastefully decorated shop on Linienstrasse, owners Sandra Keil und Astrid Lafos let the clothes speak for themselves. They are sometimes loud, sometimes colorful but always elegant and full of character. Most of the exquisite vintage items on offer are from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. As well as clothes, Garments sells a large selection of second-hand accessories like shoes, handbags and jewellery.

Sandra and Astrid are former film costume designers, whose dream came true when they opened their own shop. They can tell you many of the stories behind the items they sell. Even if you’re just window shopping, be sure to drop in to enjoy the shop’s wonderful aesthetic.

Tip 5: Italian inspired clothing at YUMMY Vintage

In the heart of Kreuzberg, YUMMY offers a wide choice of exclusive vintage clothing and accessories for men and women. The style is predominantly Mediterranean, inspired by YUMMY’s Italian founder. Most pieces are handpicked from Italy or from other parts of the world. According to owners Carolina and Aron, much of the inspiration for their unique style comes from the streets of Berlin.

Tip 6: For that special something: Cache Coeur in Prenzlauer Berg

Vintage fashion that will make your heart beat faster: In the boutique "Cache coeur" you will find various treasures from the 50s, 60s and 70s. In addition to designer fashion and accessories, film props are also waiting to be discovered.

Tip 7: Travel through time in style: Mankii Vintage

You look in the shop window, open the door to Mankii Vintage and are immediately enchanted. The boutique is darkened and tastefully decorated. In the illuminated showcases you can see beautiful bags and jewelry from past decades. You will also be captivated by trench coats, blouses and skirts. "Mankii Vintage" is an insider tip among the vintage stores of Berlin. Let us take you on a little journey through time and discover treasures and jewelry from renowned brands.

Hollywood flair in the Hackesche Höfe: it glitters and sparkles in the "Glanzstücke" boutique. The glass showcases proudly present extraordinary vintage fashion jewelry from different eras; from the Art Deco style of the 1920s to noble jewelry of the 60s. Here you will find extraordinary brooches, necklaces and bracelets for ladies and cufflinks for men.

Tip 9: Stylish second-hand shopping: Menzel & Menzel

Designer fashion as far as the eye can see: at the boutique "Menzel & Menzel" fashion enthusiasts get their money's worth. You can embellish your Berlin look with the selected pieces and your apartment with the art treasures - a great souvenir of your shopping tour through one of the finest vintage stores in Berlin.

For all those who love designer fashion: If you stroll along the famous Kurfürstendamm, you will find the noble vintage boutique "Vivi Lenz Vintage" in a side street. Well-preserved vintage treasures are waiting for you here. Whether shoes, bags, scarves or accessories: look forward to exquisite individual pieces.
