Camera Work

Named after the artists’ magazine of 1903, this gallery displays photographs of numerous well-known artists. Many young photographers moved on to impressive artistic careers after having their first exhibitions here. Camera Work also developed the museum “The Kennedys”.

On 10th February Camera Work are opening a gallery in the Former Jewish Girls’ School Berlin. Contrary to what the name might suggest, the Camera Work Contemporary Gallery not only presents contemporary works from the area of photography, but from painting and sculpture as well. The four rooms, flooded with light, in the CWC gallery’s 500 m² (5,380 ft²) exhibition space represent an exclusive backdrop for comprehensive retroperspectives, group exhibitions or cooperation exhibitions with private collections or institutions.
