Wann öffnen die Weihnachtsmärkte in Berlin?
Officially, the Christmas market season does not begin until 22 November 2026 (All Souls’ Day). Yet even as the autumn days grow cooler, the first festively decorated stalls are already drawing in visitors with the aroma of waffles and hot mulled wine. Kicking things off are the Christmas fair in Lichtenberg and the Winterwelt at Potsdamer Platz. From 31 October, you can whizz down a 70-metre-long winter slide right in the heart of Berlin to mark the start of the Christmas season.
