May, as the sun’s rays are warming up the city, is when the street festivals and open-air events kick off the summer season.
Things get especially busy in Berlin over the long Pentecost (Whitsun) weekend, falling this year between 4 and 5 June 2017. The whole city celebrates outdoors at street parties, festivals, and Volksfeste.
