The Reichsbanner Black-Red-Gold in the fight for democracy 1924 to 1933
The exhibition, organized by the German Resistance Memorial Center and the Reichsbanner Schwarz-Rot-Gold, Association of Active Democrats, will be on display starting June 4 in the exhibition container at forum 1848.
Photos, documents, and biographies reconstruct the tireless commitment of the Reichsbanner Schwarz-Rot-Gold to democracy in the Weimar Republic.
On opening day, however, the focus will not only be on the past, but also on current struggles for democracy.
Under the title “Protecting Democracy,” Paulina Fröhlich and Dr. Stefan Heinz will discuss how the past and present can be connected.
Afterward, we invite you to join us for a drink and some börek.
Speakers:
Welcome: Dr. Susanne Kitschun, Director, forum 1848 at the Cemetery of the March Martyrs
Opening Remarks: Andreas Schlüter, Member of the Federal and State Executive Board of Berlin-Brandenburg, Reichsbanner Schwarz-Rot-Gold, Association of Active Democrats e.V.
