The village of Buchholz, which is over 750 years old, was shaped by the settlement of French religious refugees in the late 17th century. Their influence is still visible in the village today and gave it its distinctive name, “Französisch Buchholz.”
Today, many streets bear the names of the settlers. You are cordially invited to discover the town’s history as you walk along these streets.
