On the longest day of the year, June 21, we’ll come together to celebrate music, the joy of life, and the summer solstice! The idea behind Fête de la Musique, launched in 1981 by French Minister of Culture Jack Lang, is to welcome summer with music in public spaces—open, diverse, and accessible to everyone.

This spirit also comes to life on the grounds of Berlin’s Kulturbrauerei. At the official closing event in the Kesselhaus, we’ll be presenting the latest and most innovative sounds from France starting at 10:00 PM. Joining us this year: BRÖ and OKALI.

  • As always, admission is free.

Nous aimons la musique! Let’s celebrate this day of music and life together!

French Night is a collaboration between the Centre national de la musique, the Fête de la Musique, and the Kesselhaus at the Kulturbrauerei—and is presented by …

BRÖ

BRÖ blends opposites into a unique sound that spans indie, Nouvelle Variété, and experimental pop. The French artist moves playfully between acoustic and electronic elements and pursues a clear artistic vision. Established on the scene since 2019, she founded her own label, Projets Complexes, in 2023. Following successful concerts in Paris, she is currently working on new music and a live show for 2026.

OKALI

OKALI moves between neo-trip-hop and atmospheric, spiritually influenced soundscapes. At the center is the versatile voice of singer Gaëlle, who blends multiple languages and shapes the sound. Together with producer Florent, they create an organic mix of calm, almost trance-like rhythms and emotional depth. The EP, announced for 2026, promises an intense yet accessible listening experience.
