Fete Records - Swinging Christmas
Guests can expect a vibrant mix of various ensembles and groups performing planned and spontaneous pieces by and with the musicians from the Fete Records roster.
With a diverse program and lineup spanning the broad genre of jazz, Fete Records is a regular guest at WABE.
The evening kicks off with "Swinging Christmas," creating a wonderfully festive and heartwarming atmosphere, like enjoying homemade mulled wine with loved ones.
The program features both old and new songs, the beautiful voice of singer Mette Nadja, the trumpet of Florian Menzel, and the saxophone of bandleader Markus Ehrlich. The rhythm section, with its tasteful swing, provides the perfect foundation, driving the music towards the end of the year with piano, bass, and drums.
The show opens with "Swinging Christmas," creating a wonderfully Christmassy and truly heartwarming experience, reminiscent of enjoying homemade mulled wine with loved ones. New soloists constantly join in, spontaneously creating big-band-style arrangements, and duo performances and octet arrangements from the band's archives fill the air. It's like a great exchange of gifts and gifts. Fete Records at its best!
