Concert of L'Orchestra I Sedici
Twenty-seven years ago, Italian maestro Luigi Sagrestano founded the string orchestra I SEDICI. Always in search of the perfect sound and musical development.
The idea that music connects people across borders is not just a cliché for I Sedici, but a living reality. The 16 exceptional musicians, international award winners from various European nations, always bring a piece of their own history to the orchestra.
Cultural influences and individual characteristics come together to form an exciting whole. The virtuoso ensemble has captivated audiences during its numerous guest performances at home and abroad. Under the baton of Romanian concertmaster Petru Lupan, a young international collective plays with enthusiasm, boldness, and precision.
An energetic, exciting musical fireworks display.
The Advent concert in the historic Ballhaus Wedding on Sunday, December 14, will feature compositions by Corelli, Vivaldi, Mozart, Sibelius, and Dvorák. To make the sound experience complete, “I Sedici” carefully selects its concert halls, preferably venues with history: princely halls, castles, or architecturally appealing buildings. Music needs the right space, after all.
Classical music in a magnificent setting!
