A solo dance performance
‘power/trip’ is a dance performance that explores the relationship between humans and power and control. During a basketball game, the player experiences ambition, obsession and the fear of losing control – and ultimately frees herself from the limitations created by this very power. In devotion and powerlessness, she finds a new form of strength.

Tanz Performance Sawako Ogo
Sawako Ogo | disasterchaotic is a dancer and performer. Her artistic practice revolves around storytelling and visualising concepts through dance and movement.
After completing a formal university dance education, she immediately began her career in various fields – contemporary dance, theatre, variety/circus, aerial arts and durative performances in art installations – while simultaneously developing and presenting her own work. This constant, dynamic range of collaborations and the necessary adaptability as a freelance artist are central to the development of her own artistic voice.
Since moving to Berlin, she has been working with independent theatres and directors such as Post: Theater and Holger Seidelin to incorporate dance into experimental theatre works. At the same time, she continues to appear in contemporary dance productions and presents her own pieces.
As a solo dancer, Sawako was nominated for the Isadora Duncan Dance Award in San Francisco, California, in 2022 for her outstanding individual performance.
