Nature and Environment House

From microscopes to pony rides – in the Nature and Environment House, you can experience animals from a different perspective.

Founded in 1955, the Nature and Environment House brings children closer to the animal kingdom. Based in the grounds of FEZ-Berlin in Wuhlheide, it offers lots of possibilities: in the house, you’ll discover nature-related exhibits, and there are also terrariums, aquariums and aviaries. Young scientists can experiment, visit Wonders of the Microscope, or make things out of natural materials (for groups by appointment).

Lizards and ponies

On the 17,000 m² outdoor area, you’ll discover ponds, an outdoor terrarium with turtles and lizards, prairie dogs and a fallow deer enclosure and petting zoo. In addition, you can ride a pony in the paddock (with advance notice). At the regular special events, there is also an opportunity to broaden children’s natural knowledge. For example, on themed Sundays, they can learn about forests, water, pastures and soil.

Celebrate your birthday here

At the Nature and Environment House you can celebrate your event, e.g. birthdays and many more. The house offers Barbecues, guided animal tours and carriage rides.
