The exhibition “Ξὑλͻgяάφ: The Post-Human Condition” by the Sara Lily Perez Gallery at BIKINI BERLIN examines the complex relationship between humans and technology.

Between phenomenology and cybernetics, the works of Hans Kotter, Ralf Baecker, Robert Henke and Christoph Bauer move at the limits of human perception. They focus on immediate sensory experiences and the control systems of machines and living beings.

“Ξὑλͻgяάφ: The Post-Human Condition” explores the dissolved boundaries between light, technology, sound and perspective.

The immersive exhibition invites the audience to experience groundbreaking works by four renowned German artists who offer their individual perspectives on the interplay of the physical and virtual worlds.

“Ξὑλͻgяάφ” questions the understanding of human consciousness and the nature of perception in a post-human world. Light, sound and digital technology reshape the perception of the present moment and explore the depths of human consciousness. The works in “Ξὑλͻgяάφ” reflect these principles and explore the dynamic interaction between the organic (the viewer) and the synthetic (the art).

The artists:

Hans Kotter: Architect of luminal reality. Kotter’s installations fragment and construct light into ethereal sculptures. These immersive works blur the boundaries between physical and virtual spaces and offer a transformative experience of glowing.

Ralf Baecker: Baecker’s kinetic sculptures act as the nervous systems of the exhibition, embodying the mechanical complexity of organic forms intertwined with technological sophistication. His works provoke deep reflections on the nature of consciousness and the human-machine interface.

Robert Henke: Henke’s digital prints “Noise Patterns” capture the tension between rigid code and the beauty of emerging algorithms. Combining structured programming with artistic intuition, these high-resolution prints offer a visual experience that resonates with the pioneering spirit of early computer graphics.

Christoph Bauer: Bauer combines video art with digital music interfaces to create audiovisual compositions that immerse one in a multisensory experience. His works explore the temporal and spatial dimensions of perception and induce a temporal techno-trance.
