The Berlin park railroad in Wuhlheide is on the road again and is entering its 65th season! Since 1956, the trains have been rolling through the large park area in Oberschöneweide. Young and old are thrilled by the narrow-gauge trains pulled by locomotives with steam or diesel.
Please refer to the current timetable for the running times of the trains.
The railroad operation is organized by children and young people, with the help of adult volunteers. Together in the club, they learn everything that the subject of railroads entails.
From the age of nine, children can become involved in practical railroad operations. As they get older, they take on different tasks. Conductor, barrier guard, supervisor, train driver, train dispatcher. The jobs of locomotive driver and shunting supervisor can be taken on from the age of 18. The Berliner Parkeisenbahn is a non-profit organization and recognized by the Berlin Senate as a provider of voluntary youth welfare.
Due to the measures taken to contain the coronavirus, boarding is only possible at the main station (main entrance FEZ / street An der Wuhlheide). Persons over 6 years of age are required to wear a mask for the ride.
Tickets are sold exclusively at the counter in the main station of the park railroad. Ice cream and drinks will also be available there.
