Members of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra as guests at the PalaisPopulaire

In the chamber music series of the PalaisPopulaire, members of the Berliner Philharmoniker introduce themselves and their instruments and talk in a relaxed atmosphere about the works presented, questions about interpretation, the working methods of a chamber music ensemble and much more. In this way, the natural distance between artist and audience in a normal concert is broken down and the evening becomes a place of encounter.

On September 28 at 8 p.m., a very special concert will take place in the series "Workshop. Dialog. Music" will take place. Thematically, the concert anticipates the exhibition "ESCRIBIR TODOS SUS NOMBRES," which opens on October 5 and presents Spanish contemporary women artists from the collection of Helga de Alvear, probably Spain's most important gallery owner and collector.

The Berliner Philharmoniker, Álvaro Parra, violin, Martin Heinze, double bass, and Jan Schlichte, vibraphone, will present "Culebra de Mar" for violin and double bass and "25.9.1995" for vibraphone, two works by the composer Maria de Alvear, with whom they have been friends for many years, whose works they have performed several times, and who will also be present that evening to discuss the compositions with the musicians and the audience.
