Experiment and craft workshop on natural water purification followed by a visit to a test station for Spree water filtration.
How does dirty water actually become clean again? And how does it work - without any chemical additives? An experiment station awaits you in the Fluss Bad garden: Build a small water filter yourself and observe how water can be purified in a natural way. You'll be amazed: it's not that complicated! Could you also clean the water of the Spree River so that you can go swimming in it?
If you are curious, Fluss Bad Berlin invites you to visit the new (!) test station on the Spree Canal: Here, experiments are currently being conducted on a large scale and new solutions are being sought to make river bathing in the city possible again soon - with or perhaps even without filters.
The filter tinkering is mainly aimed at children between 8 and 12 years of age - but in principle we welcome all curious people! The tours of the test station last about 30 minutes and take place at 2:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. respectively. For big & small!
Saturday, 10.06.23, 13:00 - 16:00, participation at any time (no registration required).
Place/start: Mitte, Sperlingsgasse 1, 10178 Berlin, River Bad Garten (on the Spree Canal)
