A Look Behind the Scenes
The Museum of Asian Art invites you to a special guided tour of the museum’s storage facility. Raffael Gadebusch, Director of the Museum of Asian Art, offers insights into the collection of contemporary and modern South Asian art, which is otherwise not accessible to the public.
This exclusive curator’s tour presents examples of important artistic positions in India since the second half of the 20th century and illustrates how diverse and dynamic the country’s art scene has become. Gadebusch explains the background of the works on view, describes key themes addressed by the artists, and situates the pieces and their relevance within the context of the Museum of Asian Art’s historical collection.
The event offers an engaging introduction to modern Indian art and is aimed at anyone wishing to gain direct and immediate access to the museum’s collections.
