U5 Info wagon - Virtual construction site tour

Berlin's subway station between Alex and the Brandenburg Gate is the largest transport project in the district of Mitte. Since the 14th, a completely new exhibition in the U5 Infowaggon at the Marx-Engelsforum (Rathausstraße, corner Poststraße) informs about the construction project. The Infowaggon is designed like a real subway car, with stops, subway layout on the ceiling and an old metro seat.At six stations visitors will receive information on the subway project itself and on construction work, which will be held this year.

Address

U5 Virtuelle Baustellentour

Rathausstr. 21 10178  Berlin

Marx-Engels-Forum

Karl-Marx-Allee 49 10178  Berlin

Employees of Projektrealisierungs GmbH U5, for example, explain the icing on the station of the museum island and what preparatory work has to be done there. An information film about the exhibition gives insight into the planning. With so-called touchboxes, the U5 construction site is even "sensible". Another highlight of the exhibition is the virtual 360 ° construction site tour. In 3D the visitor can walk virtually over the building site. A glance into the real construction site is possible via windows at several places in the building fence.

The Infowaggon is always open on Tuesdays and from Thursday to Sunday between 12 and 6 pm.
