Sabine Scholl's new novel ‘Transit Lissabon’ (Weissbooks, 2024) follows a group of friends on the run: Ava, a Viennese actress. Billy, a Berlin author who had to leave the city because of his provocative theatre play against the Nazis. Conrad, a wannabe intellectual and womaniser. Both men are in love with Ava, with little success.
