Pasadena Roof Orchestra
For 55 years, the Pasadena Roof Orchestra has presented a distinctive sound and always maintained its class. Many years of working together on high-class swing arrangements made the eleven orchestral musicians legendary and even earned them an invitation to the Queen.
Since its founding in 1969, the British-based formation Pasadena Roof Orchestra has earned a reputation in concert halls in London, New York, Dubai, Munich, Hong Kong and Barcelona and has constantly developed its own style, which can be heard on numerous recordings such as "Comedian Harmonists" or "Just a Gigolo".
Like the great bands of Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Ray Noble and Fletcher Henderson, these eleven musicians are very close to the sound of the time and present timeless hits from "The Lullaby of Broadway", "The Tiger Rag" and "Cheek to Cheek" to "Puttin' on the Ritz" in an authentic and swinging way.
Music that formed the backdrop to events that shook the world, yet is so free and swinging that everyone is overcome with the desire to dance, and has been for half a century.
Musical director and soloist of the Pasadena Roof Orchestra, Duncan Galloway, enriches the shows with humour, wit and artistic experience.
Singer Sarah Goodwin is invited as a guest star.
