Ideas for the future of West Berlin's major buildings of the 1970s

During the Cold War, remarkable large buildings were erected in West Berlin as new locations for science, research and culture. Neglected for years and now technically obsolete, these buildings are mostly threatened with demolition today.

Since their construction, these architectures have been repeatedly criticized as unsightly and inefficient. Today, however, a group of scientists, cultural workers and politicians have turned against them, appreciating them as impressive testimonies of a Western technological modernity.

The exhibition includes about 150 works by about 20 architects, planning offices, photographers and artists.
